Federico Andreoni has performed throughout Europe, the United States and Canada, and has recorded for Canadian, French, Italian, and Swiss radio broadcasts. At the age of twenty-five, he performed the complete organ works of J. S. Bach in a series of sixteen recitals, and the complete organ works of Dieterich Buxtehude in six recitals. More recently, he has performed the organ works of Jehan Alain.

He is currently pursuing two Master’s degrees in Organ performance (in the class of William Porter) and Music Theory at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in Montreal, where, in 2007, he was awarded, among other prizes, the High Distinction and the Salsinger Tani Gold Medal in organ performance; more recently the Department of Music Research of the same School awarded him the Olympia Garibaldi-Galavaris Prize for excellence in research in early music. Before moving to North America, he earned diplomas in organ and piano from the International Music Academy in Milan, and the Prémier Prix de Virtuosité and the Prix Spécial Otto Barblan in the class of Lionel Rogg at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Geneva.

In 2008 the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of the Government of Canada awarded him the J. Armand Bombardier Research Grant to carry on research on the music of the French composer Jean-Louis Florentz (1947-2004), subject of his Master’s thesis.

He is a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Music of McGill University and Artist-in-Residence at the church of St. John The Evangelist in Montreal.

His compositions have been performed in festivals, conventions, and concert series in Canada, France, Switzerland, and United States.
